Frequently Asked Questions and Policies

Submitting Artwork

We recommend that all files be submitted at the size of the piece being ordered, plus a 1/8" (0.125") bleed. For example, if a 24" x 36 piece is being ordered, the artwork submitted needs to be 24.125" x 26.125" and at least 200 dpi/ppi. Please keep all critical elements such as text, logos, signatures, etc. at least 1/4" (0.25") away from the edge of the artwork. If your final piece has beveled edges, please keep these elements 1/2" (0.5") away from the edge of the artwork.

FAQ

How do I know if my image is good enough to print?

Most digital cameras shooting at 5 Megapixels and up can produce images that will look great on any of our acrylic products. Simply set your camera to its highest setting and send us your photo in its original format, size and resolution. You can use our design tool to resize and crop your image, ensuring it’s printed exactly how you'd like it. If we notice during production that your photo or art won’t look its best, we will contact you to discuss your options.

Please note that if your image is too low quality for a large acrylic product, your image may appear blurry or “pixelated.”

What is the recommended resolution?

Your photo should be at least 200 dpi/ppi, but we highly recommend 300 dpi/ppi at its final print size. While the difference may not be noticeable on a smaller print, our website's design tool outputs at this resolution and anything less may appear blurry.

Why do I need to extend my uploaded images to the orange line in the design tool?

Our design tool doesn't automatically extend your uploaded images to the edges of the printable area in order to avoid incorrect cropping of your photos that you may not notice. However, this safeguard requires you to manually make sure that your photos are resized and cropped to your liking. If you do not extend your photos to the guide lines, your image may not fit the desired product and will leave white space at the edges.

We'll do our best to catch any orders where this happens and notify you before producing your order, but we cannot take responsibility for any misprints that were not properly adjusted.

What are my paper options?

Luster is a traditional white photo paper, great for any photography prints.

Pearl Metallic is a white photo paper with a pearlescent sheen, giving the look of a metallic print without being printed on silver colored paper. It gives nice depth to images and offers a little more contrast than luster paper while retaining the integrity of the original photo's colors.

Why offer paper options?

All of our acrylic prints are "face-mounted", meaning they're first printed to one of these paper types and then fused to a crystal clear piece of acrylic, perfectly preserving the quality of the print. In terms of physical production, paper choice is the number one way to adjust a print's appearance.

What settings should I use to calibrate my monitor?

The optimal calibration settings we recommend are: 2.2 Gamma, D65 White Point, 120 Lumens and Adobe RGB 1998 as the color profile.

Do you provide any design services?

Unfortunately, we do not.

When do you recommend aluminum backing?

We recommend aluminum backing on prints 24"x36" or larger. The aluminum backing adds rigidity to naturally flexible acrylic. It does not affect the appearance of the print in any way.

What file formats do you accept?

JPG, PDF and TIFF.

What are your shipping rates?

  • Standard Flat Rate shipping within the continental US:
    • $9.99 for standard sizes up to 30" x 40"
    • Standard flat rates apply to orders of any quantity sent to a single location.
  • Sizes over 30" x 40" (TBD)
  • International (TBD)

Custom sizes will need to be quoted. Please fill out this form for pricing.

How do I clean my acrylic artwork?

Your new acrylic artwork will only need an occasional dusting. Wipe gently with a non-abrasive cloth. If you need to wash the acrylic to remove dirt or streaks, use a small amount of mild soap with water, wipe gently with a clean soft cloth. Rinse well with clean water, and dry by blotting with a soft cloth. We recommend using Novus #1 for cleaning acrylic to a beautiful glossy shine.

PLEASE NOTE: Do not use paper towels or other rough products on your artwork. Be careful to never get the back of your Wall Art or Panel Art wet.
